Maybe.
If it did, that mistakes happen in war is not unprecedented.

The most significant statements Trump made were

1. how close (he says) Iran was to having nuclear weapons 
before he and Israel attacked Iran in June 2025 and March 2026.
Are his claims accurate?
I have no idea.
Those claims need examination.

2. his threat that the U.S. will seize control of the Strait of Hormuz if Iran blocks it.


The level of bombing of Iran by the U.S. and Israel, and a threat by the U.S. to seize the Strait of Hormuz 
ARE unprecedented.
